Ephesians 4:23-29 Putting on the New Man CLICK TITLE FOR AUDIO
Yesterday we talked about putting off the old man and today about putting on the new man. This is something you do continually. There is competition between the “old” and “new” all the time. There is a constant battle.

The new man delights in two things:
- Righteousness
- Matt 6:33, it comes by seeking it
- Rom 10:9-10, it comes by faith
- II Cor 5:21, it comes by Christ
- Phil 3:9, it comes by being conformable to his death
- Holiness
- I Jn 3:1-3
- I Pet 1:15-16
- Not enough holiness today
- Christians see how much they can get away with
If you put on the new man you will:
- Tell the truth (v. 25)
- Put away lying

- Modern Bibles, Rom 1:25
- Sensual wisdom – Jas 3:14-15, Lie against the truth
- We’re in the Same body – don’t lie

- Christ got mad, and we can too. Just don’t sin
- Otherwise, you give place to the devil
- Quit stealing (v. 27)
- Ex 20:15, 8th commandment
- Do an honest day’s work (v. 28)
- I Thes 4:11-12
